Call for fully funded city-to-city exchange opportunities

The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR), the European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development (DG DEVCO), and UN Habitat joined forces and offer fully funded city-to-city learning exchange opportunities. Sharing lessons is a key part of UNISDR’s Making Cities Resilient Campaign towards the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015 – 2030 at the local level. The call ends 15 January, 2017.

Three learning exchange opportunities are available. Each exchange aims to bring two local authorities together that experience similar issues with regards to disaster risk reduction and building resilience, so that they may learn from each other: Cities can connect, share experiences, obtain support, and create an effective network. The ability to innovate and adapt solutions to conditions experienced in the cities is strengthened and enriched by the sharing and exchanging of knowledge.

You can find out more information on this opportunity and apply through the documents available here.
