Impressions from the Mayors Adapt Signature Ceremony 16th October 2014

Mayors Adapt Signature Ceremony in Brussels on 16th of October saw some 57 of the initiative’s 104 signatories celebrate their leadership in taking action on climate change adaptation. The day-long event offered an opportunity for cities to learn from each other, identify good practice on adaptation, learn about tools for getting adaptation done, and discuss common challenges and opportunities.

A Signature Ceremony with EU Commissioner for Climate Action, Connie Hedegaard, during the conference honoured cities’ commitment to the initiative, and to taking action.

Impressions of the event can be found here:

press release about the event is available, and participating cities are invited to use the adaptable press release to support their own media and outreach work about their leadership on climate change adaptation.

Please find here an overview of the event’s speakers as well as the event’s agenda.

The presentations of the afternoon’s technical session “Getting urban adaptation done: technical and financial tools for cities” are available on our website.
