In the morning: Launch of a new Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy

The Covenant of Mayors and Mayors Adapt Signature Ceremony 2015 took place in Brussels on Thursday 15th October 2015. Hundreds of city representatives flocked to the European Parliament on the day for the launch of the new and integrated Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy, less than two months ahead of the COP21 international summit in Paris.

A press release of the event is available here.
Please see here for all pictures of the Ceremony.

In the afternoon: Information event on urban adaptation

The Ceremony part in the morning launching a new Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy was followed by an Information event on urban adaptation in the afternoon. The three consequent sessions scheduled from 14.30 until about 18.00 offered a unique opportunity for participants to engage with each other on common challenges and opportunities in adapting to climate change. The sessions also offered a great platform for learning and exchanging about tools, sharing tips and experience and addressing concrete questions on adaptation.

Please see here for all pictures of the Information vent on urban Adaptation.
For more information about the Ceremony day, please see here.
